Is Betting the Underdog the Key to UFC Betting Success?

Could simply betting on the underdog be the key to success in the UFC betting world?

Well, if you judge by last weekend in terms of their two biggest fights of the night at UFC 241 you would have made some decent coin.

Bloody Elbow had a great breakdown of UFC 241: Cormier vs. Miocic prior to the fight and looking back, Stipe Miocic, the underdog, would've been a solid bet no matter how you thought he'd win against UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

The other "co-main event" was a returning Nate Diaz facing off against veteran and former UFC Lightweight champ Anthony Pettis. Pettis had been the favorite in his last 5 fights, this one included. It would have been easy to envision Pettis winning this fight after Diaz hadn't participated in ANY fight since August of 2016 but again betting on the dog in this one would've put some money in your pocket. As seen below Diaz is very much used to an underdog role.
